Andronica Mphahlele, Regional Manager- South Africa, TerraPay on her appointment said - “I am excited to embark on this new journey with TerraPay. As a young girl growing up in the township of Soweto in South Africa, most of the families there were dependent or survived on money that gets sent home by a parent who was away on work. Remittances provide a lifeline for a vast majority of people in Africa. This is why TerraPay’s digital products are close to my heart, as they address the needs of ordinary people. It enables faster, more reliable, instant money transfers at low fees, unlike traditional modes of transfers that are riddled with myriad challenges. The pandemic further accelerated the need for digitization and TerraPay’s technology enables interoperability by fostering financial inclusion across borders. TerraPay not only promotes a cashless economy, but also provides the necessary infrastructure to achieve that.”

Ani Sane, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer, TerraPay, warmly welcomes Andronica Mphahlele, “With Andronica’s rich experience in the financial sector, banking and foreign exchange, financial surveillance, among others, I am confident that she will bring newer perspectives to the TerraPay brand experience. She has demonstrated know-how of sales and account management in the financial services industry of South Africa, with diversified skills in Banking, Management, Risk Management and Customer Service. This in-depth understanding of the Southern Africa region and its specific needs, will play a huge role in expanding TerraPay’s foothold in the region. We look forward to Andronica Mphahlele playing an instrumental role in managing, growing and expanding TerraPay’s business in Southern Africa.”
